Server license question (Raspberry Pi)

License is bound to specific hardware. How does that work on Raspberry Pi? I routinely make backup (clone) copies of SD card for protection against SD card failure. If cloned SD card is put into RPi, will the license work?

I think the license is bound to the MAC address of the network interface, so it won't change if you restore the SD from backup.

Actually for the pi its bound to the cpu serial number so its ok if you change the sdcard or the operating system. The license will still work
