Server installation on Synology fails

I have noticed that the latest versions of server are having trouble on upgrading the installed version on Synology, with latest DSM. During the installation process the installer keeps going on forever. I connected with SSH on the NAS and realized tha the installation folder of the program was completely gone inside the @appstore folder where it is normaly located. This is the second version that triggers this effect. Further more, the client still connects to the server although the folder is not present. After restarting the NAS the process is completely gone, and it can be installed again as a clean installation. Of course the config.ini has to be restored from any manual coopy, or be rewritten.
Another info is that when I press the restart command on the DSM, it reports that an uninstallation is in progress...
Maybe you can check this out if there is something wrong with the installation process.
The problem started after the changes that were fixing the bug conserning the config.ini reset, after upgrading the server.

What model of synology is it?

I havent actually changed the synology packages for quite a few years. I just update a single binary file when the server version is changed, which is unreleated to any install/uninstall functionality.

I suspect its a bug in the DSM. Perhaps you could post this issue to synology support forum. Does it have issues installing other packages?

I tried it on my DS213j and it works fine installing. (It does take a long time) I noticed about a year ago that just booting my DS213j takes much longer than it used to but i just assume its some bug in the DSM.

The isntallation process used to be quick in previous versions. The latest versions either take too long to install and seems to be frozen, or something else is happening. Other packages upgrade just fine. When you say that it takes a long time to install, can you give an approximation how long did it take, just to have an example. Next time i will leave it longer, just to see if it will finish tha installation.
