Issues connecting Saitek Cyborg X flight stick

Hi there,

Having some trouble connecting my Saitek Cyborg X flight stick to Shadow PC client via VirtualHere.

On plugging the stick into the USB port on my local PC, I get the following errors in the server log:

2020-06-14 14:01:20 ERROR :Calling CM_Get_DevNode_PropertyW (Class) failed for USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2B\5&2873CEED&0&7, error CR_NO_SUCH_DEVNODE or CR_NO_SUCH_DEVINST
2020-06-14 14:01:20 INFO :Found Low speed device [06a3:0836] "Saitek, Cyborg X" at address 15
2020-06-14 14:01:20 ERROR :Calling CM_Get_DevNode_PropertyW (Class) failed for USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2B\5&2873CEED&0&7, error CR_NO_SUCH_DEVNODE or CR_NO_SUCH_DEVINST

The device does then show up at the client end on the Shadow remote PC, however on selecting "Use this device" I get the error message: "There was an error using this device" and the server log shows he following

2020-06-14 14:01:48 ERROR :Failed to enumerate drivers when selecting, No more data is available. (0x00000103)
2020-06-14 14:01:48 ERROR :Error binding device 15 [06a3:0836] to connection 3, BIND_ERROR

Any ideas on what I could do to resolve this?

I've managed to share the device via FabulaTech's USB Over Network software, so I guess it's not a problem with the device itself, however I'd prefer to support VirtualHere if I can get it working!

Hi Michael,

Almost thought that had resolved it - it seemed to work for about 5 seconds but then dropped the connection. When I tried again to connect again, Windows (client side) threw up an error along the lines of "There was an error with the connected USB device - could not install software".

When trying to connect from the client side, the server log now shows a slightly different set of errors than before:
2020-06-14 14:38:15 INFO :Error starting redirect, Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (0x000000b7)
2020-06-14 14:38:15 ERROR :Device redirection failed for USB\VID_06A3&PID_0836/1
2020-06-14 14:38:15 ERROR :Error binding device 15 [06a3:0836] to connection 1, BIND_ERROR"

Could you reboot your server pc. Then start the virtualhere client in shadow then before you use the stick, right click on it select Custom Event Handler... and paste in exactly this line

onReset.$VENDOR_ID$.$PRODUCT_ID$=

then click OK. Now try to use the stick.

Also can i ask if you are using a VPN?

Hi Michael,

Tried entering the Custom Event Handler - VH Client now states the device is "In use by you", however in Windows Device Manager only shows an "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) - Driver error".

Server log is below:

I am currently using ZeroTier VPN - I previously tried with Hamachi but got similar errors.

OK at the moment it wont work via virtualhere sorry
