VirtualHere on Nvidia Shield TV

Hello, I tried to install VirtualHere USB from the Google Play store on my Shield TV and I don't get any permissions popups for the device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but no luck so far. I tried downloading the client on my PC and it does not show any devices on the network. They are both wired directly into the same Router and the router does not have any settings that would impede them from working as I run a few things over my LAN (such as streaming the Shield itself).

Anyone know how I can resolve this? I don't mind purchasing a license but I need to try it before I buy it. I'm not gonna spend money while it doesn't work.

Thanks for any advice have a good one.

I assume you have run the app and it shows the "Devices connected here are available over the network if you give permission" screen?

Try plugging the usb device into another usb port. Also what is the usb device?

The device was a Nintendo Switch Gamecube Controller Adapter officially licensed by nintendo for the Wii U.

I have it working on my PC directly but wasnt able to get it to show from the application.

It looks like plugging it in after the fact solved it and it is now streaming. What do I need to purchase and how long is my trial at this point?

Actually it appears I was incorrect when I launched the Steam Link application on the shield it asked for access to the adapter and now whenever i try to use it it sends completely arbitrary inputs to my computer rather than appearing as the Gamecube controller. I have no idea what is going on or why it is doing this. It looks ilke steam might have overridden the USB connection from VirtualHere?

Probably, they are always messing around with grabbing/not grabbing things. Try posting this question on the steam forums
