I have VirtualHere server on a Raspberry Pi 2 and connected a SDR-RTL dongle to be used as a remote radio
I can see this setup from a VirtualHere client on Windows10 as being active
I can see the usb device in the list of connected usb devices from my Oracle VirtualBox Ubuntu machine installed on the same Windows10 pc
But I can not connect to the usb device from the VirtualBox Ubuntu OS
Is it possible to access usb devices from within a VirtualBox?
Kind regards,
Erwin

You need to run the virtualhere client inside the virtualbox vm
Dont run the virtualhere client on the host because a USB device should not be passed through twice, (i.e once by virtualhere to the host and again by virtualbox to the guest)
That is an interesting
That is an interesting suggestion.
Having the client under Win10 and opening a VirtualBox and then accessing a usb disk drive works.
So I doubt this is the issue.
A usb disk drive can be accessed via a double pass through. Should be when the virtualhere solution is transparant as it is all handled by the Oracle Virtual Box software.
Furthermore the 2 versions of the Linux client do not work in my Ubuntu machine. So I will need to study this setup a little better.
It helps a lot to start the
It helps a lot to start the server first before trying to access it with the client .......
With the client running in the virtualBox I can now access both the usb disk or the RTL-SDR dongle.

OK cool :) I wouldn't think two pass through's would work, but i guess it does!
