No longerworking after windows reinstall

Hi all,

I have reinstalled windows on the machine running the virtualHere server. I have re-stated my (same old perfectly working) licence in the client, but the client (running as a service) no longer allows to connect to any device, saying "When running the Client as a Service you can only connect to purchased servers".

Any idea of what is going on?

You have to enter the license into the server, not the client. The server needs to be licensed. Check whether the server you are connecting to has a valid license.

Thanks for your answer. From the mail I have received when I bought the licence key, the server gets its licence by entering the key... from the client side : "To install: In the VirtualHere Client -> Right-click USB Hubs -> License... -> Enter License(s) and paste in the line above and click OK." (this is a copy / paste from the mail).

Now, because I have reinstalled windows and thus reinstalled the server (I have also changed my router meanwhile), the server has a new s/n. I guess you don't have to buy a licence each time you reinstall?

Note that the server is running from the same old machine it was already running before the reinstallation.
