VirtualHere will not start when running as a daemon on Ventura 13.6

VirtualHere, which I've run for years, suddenly stopped starting up today, until I reentered:

sudo /Applications/VirtualHereServerUniversal.app/Contents/MacOS/vhusbdosx -b

This, I believe, removed it as a daemon, and it starts when I do this, but of course now osascript wants me to enter a password every time. The log file is not helpful, filled with entries like this:

And so forth. I'm really not sure what to do...I certainly didn't make any major changes I can think of.
